Usulutan, El Salvador. December 14, 2007.
Nicaraguan migrant workers prepare to go home after a work day at a sugar cane field on the outskirts of Usulutan, eastern El Salvador.
Immigrant labor from other Central American countries, especially Nicaragua and Honduras, arrive to El Salvador seeking what they call The Salvadorian Dream. The relative abundance of El Salvador, mainly created by money sent back home from Salvadorian immigrants in the United States, and the adoption of the US Dollar as national currency back in 2001 has created an influx of cheap labor immigrants into the country.
