James C. Petrillo, president of the American Federation of Musicians, sounds a few notes March 18, after signing a three-year contract with radio networks. The trumpet was a gift from Frank E. Mullen, vice president of NBC. Lederhandler took a front view rather than profile 'to accentuate Petrillo's puffed cheeks and expressive eyes.
