Jean Claude Benda 29 was shot through the leg as the CNDP advanced into Rutshuru as he returned to pick up two children from his home during the clashes, militias broke down the door and shot him in his leg as he was of fighting age. He led on the florr of his home for 24 hours with his youngest child on his chest until a friend came over when the fighting stopped. As a result his leg was amputated. He bends in agony as the pain relief pills he has been given do not work well enough
