Culiacan, Sinaloa Mexico July 6, 2008 Dozens of armed State policeman, along with the Mexican military, patrol the city streets in a show of force in Culiacan. They set up road-blocks and travel through the poorer burrios. From January 1 to mid-July 2008 there have been 535 drug related killings in Sinolao, many of them were police officers.
