EVANS CITY, PENNSYLVANIA, 2006. In March 2005, Alpha Company suffered its first grave injury with Sgt. Paul Statzer losing half his skull along with part of his frontal lobe in a roadside bombing. Remarkably, he survived and returned home to his family.
