June 20, 2006 - Traditional healer Anthony Okello, visits and counsels his patient Elel Simpo, who is suffering from an Aids related skin rash. Okello referred her to the local hospital for ARV's but treats her rash with traditional methods. As a teenager Okello, falling ill and near death, Okelleo was read his last rites and rushed to a traditional African healer. Where modern medicine failed, charms and herbs prevailed, and Okello apprenticed himself to the wandering witchdoctor, learning to mix medicines and summon spirits.
