Nepali armed soldiers arrest a politcal activist during clashes as police clamp down on a pro-democracy rally in Kathmandu. Nepal's opposition groups are calling for a restoration of democracy from King Gyanedra's royalist regime and vow to continue their protests until he steps down. Violent clashes became a regular occurance between pro-democracy groups and the government's forces. King Gyanedra's royalist government ordered a curfew, cutting phone lines and internet and arresting anti-government activists while a ban on protests continues angering Human Rights organizations.
