East Timor, one of the world's youngest nations descended into chaos as rival gangs took over the capitol city of Dili torching homes, battling with each other for control in a effort to oust the Prime Minister. Australian peacekeepers took control but in the process hundreds of homes were destroyed. East Timor remains in a fragile state of peace with a struggling economy.
