Hundreds of East Timorese protesters cheer enroute to the capitol city to try and oust Prime Minister Alkatiri June 6, 2006 in Dili. East Timor, one of the world's youngest nations descended into chaos as rival gangs took over the capitol city of Dili torching homes, battling with each other for control in a effort to oust the Prime Minister. Australian peacekeepers took control but in the process hundreds of homes were destroyed. East Timor remains in a fragile state of peace with a struggling economy.
