Bob Gardner, 62, in foreground, who was born in Chicago on the Near West Side. He once was an engineer. Now he is a pathetic example of Skid Row. He is covered with sores, crawling with vermin. Reporters sent him to a mission, but he wouldn't stay. The man behind Bob is 'reading cooties' out of his shirt.
