UPI photographer Hiromichi Mine made this remarkable picture a few seconds after a U.S. twin-engine transport plane had been hit by American artillery, as the craft plummeted to earth. The plane, laden with ammunition, was about to land at a Green Beret Special Forces camp. The three Americans aboard the craft were killed in the tragic mishap.
