At 7,15 each morning, Cisco and two older sisters have to be at the dockside as Erwin Bailey turns up with a small steel hulled boat. Bailey collects fourteen children of the bayou for a trip along the waterways out across Lake Berret. Next there's a bus ride. Finally, they arrive at school at 8,15 a.m., having covered over 12 miles of water and road.
