Caption/Description

The seal hunt is regulated by the Canadian Government and the International Committee for Northwest Atlantic fisheries. This year 245,000 pup seals are allowed to be killed for their white fur coat. The season lasts for about 4-6 weeks when the pup has its white coat which is premium fur.
