A Detroit police officer with a gun is subdued by two other policemen as a fourth Detroit policeman, right, holds a gun on the trio outside the Federal Building here May 9th, 1975. Fighting erupted during a demonstration by policemen. The police were protesting the ruling that the city cannot idle black or women officers, but could lay off more senior officers.
