Bhagwati's Temple has been called the Rat Temple and some self-righteous pseudo-nationalists have taken exception to the shelter of 'Kabas' at the shrine. There are plenty of 'Kabas' (rats number approximately 30 to 50 thousand). It is Karniji, not rats that are worshipped there.
