Steve Cauthen is under guard by Louisville police after winning the Kentucky Derby due to the mob of press and fans. Cauthen and Affirmed crossed the finish line approximately one length ahead of Alydar. After winning, Steve was hugged by Affirmed's owner. Two of Steve's fans proclaim Steve's accomplishment.
