Two of the United States' most sophisticated aircraft. The helmeted man is aboard the navy's F-14 Tomcat. This carrier-based plane can fly at twice the speed of sound at a height of 55,000 feet for a distance of 2,000 miles. Although most of the statistics on the SR-71 spy plane are top secret, it can fly 2,200 miles per hour.
