Caption/Description
President Carter makes his way up a steep hill during the 6.2-mile footrace. Carter, an avid jogger, struggles to keep pace with the other runners until, wobbling, moaning, and pale with exhaustion, he is forced to drop out. To keep the president from collapsing, security guards took a firm grip of his arms and led him to a waiting car.
