Tuffy, a five-year-old Brittany Spaniel held a vigil by the side of fallen playmate, Midnight, for over 36 hours, after the black dog was hit and killed by an auto on a county road. The spaniel refused to leave the side of it's playmate and possibly would have died also if the owners had not eventually found the pair by the roadside.
