Eizo Shimabukuro, a fifty-three-year-old Okinawan karate master, demonstrates how his specialty, the style of Shorin-Ryu, might be used to overpower an armed attacker. Shimabukuro is one of only a handful of the world's tenth-degree-Shorin-Ryu red belts, and after the demonstration, his student bows to acknowledge his superiority.
