Caption/Description

Story Summary cont. The traditional view of wifebeating is that what happens within the home is exempt from public scrutiny. 'A man's home is his castle.' Therein lies the root of the problem. These pictures taken in Minnesota reflect the wide array of shelters, educational counselling programs and advocacy groups which aid victims as part of a new, compresensive and effective model response to wife beating. Caption, As the police remove the 'perpetrator' (husband) from the house, his son, Reuben, points his finger at his father and screams, 'You get out of my apartment. Don't you ever come back. I hit you with the pot to make you stop hitting her. I hate you!'
