When a gang from the North Side comes onto the street in a car carrying shotguns, the Freemont kids grab their guns from a nearby hiding place and load their weapons. Nearly everyone in the everyday group of Fremont has been shot in gang warfare. Cara was shot six times this past year and two gang members were killed.
