Irene George holds her Grandson, Ilandric Begay while her Daughter, Denise Almeida, holds her newborn, Leon Zepeda, as they celebrate a family birthday. No matter the hardship, Irene says Òour family is what keeps us together in the hard timesÓ Many say they didnt understand the details of the Freeze and didnt know its boundaries. Some people, like the George Family, who live not far from Tuba City, dont even know whether or not they live on the Freeze.
