Desperate residents scramble to get bags of food on the outskirts of Gori in central Georgia. Anger rivaled fear as food finally reached the desperate population of Gori days after the fighting stopped as busloads of donated supplies reached the besieged city. Russian checkpoints set up around Stalin's birthplace had prevented any humanitarian missions from entering.
