Nicolette Perez, 16, and her son Eduardo Xavier Pena, 1, wait for the bus in downtown after school. Two years ago, Nicolette Perez had the kind of free time that 14-year-olds take for granted. One afternoon in the park, she spotted a cute little girl on the swings. 'Oh, I want a baby,' she told her mom, Melissa Trevino, later that night. 'She looked at me like I was crazy. But I didn't think I was going to jinx myself and end up having a baby the same year,' said Perez. She is a third generation teen mom.
