Donald Murdoch, 21, playfully bites his wife Rita Alcota's finger while riding the bus. The young couple were married on Valentines Day. The bus is their only mode of transportation. Simple trips can take hours and multiple transfers. Donald has aged out of the foster care system. His life is a daily struggle as he tries to navigate welfare and other programs to keep a roof over their head and food on their table. Donald was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, among other medical issues that prevent him from keeping a job.
