First Lt. Scott Baccigalopi of Alvin attends a memorial service at Joint Base Balad for the seven Texas and Oklahoma National Guard soldiers killed in a CH-47 Chinook crash in Iraq on Thursday. 'Once we got the news, it was definite. It was sort of devastating. It was like getting punched in the gut. I can feel proud that I was able to serve with these fine gentlemen. They were great men and I know they served their families well. They served their unit well.'
