Spc. Robert Thomas, 24, of Fort Worth is overcome with the 130 degree heat at Camp Taji. Soldiers are asked put their personal lives on hold during the war. The impact can be measured in divorces, domestic violence, alcohol abuse, and suicide. It also plays out in less tangible ways, in outcomes that play out over a lifetime.
