Photographer says, 'The old man and the fence expressed a feeling of pride and longevity to me. Rather than use a long lens, and lose the fence, I moved in close with a wide angle. I could only shoot once, as he saw me he moved toward his shirt. He was a bystander at a murder scene next door to his home.'
